GIA Diamond Graduate
GIA Applied Jewelry Professional
I’ve had a fascination with jewelry since I was a young boy. I vividly remember going into my Aunt and Uncle’s antique store and spending my time at the jewelry counter. I received my first piece, a gold signet ring with my initial “S” etched into the face, when I was 5 and proudly wore it to church each Sunday.
After spending over a decade as an entrepreneur in Sussex County and building other businesses around the country, I felt called to pursue the family jewelry business. My Aunt, Shirley O’Neal, graciously took me under her wing to teach me the trade. I couldn’t ask for a better or more generous role model in this industry. In addition to her real world experience, I am in the process of my formal education through the Gemological Institute of America.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working under leaders and visionaries that put excellence, integrity, and caring about people at the forefront of what they do. This has shaped how I view business and I believe it’s a perfect fit for a jewelry company.
As a second generation jeweler in Sussex County, and now Salisbury, I specialize in natural diamonds, colored gemstones, and estate jewelry. My deep-rooted experience ensures you receive knowledgeable and personalized service.

Master Goldsmith
I’ve had a fascination with jewelry and watches since I was a child, and loved my mother’s collection growing up. When I was a senior in high school, a bench jeweler took the time to show me his work and I fell in love with goldsmithing.
Since 1992 I’ve been pursuing my passion a the bench. I’ve studied at New Approach School For Jewelers and to have had the privilege to apprentice under Barry Schilling in my early career (1992-2004). I’m grateful to have applied my talents at Schillings, Bellinger’s, and GB Heron over the last 30 years.
I’m excited to continue my pursuit at James Fine Jewelry, and look forward to many more years in this fulfilling line of work.

Veteran Sales Associate
I’ve been in the jewelry business since 1986 with Jeff Cassels at J. Cassels Goldsmith. That business later became G.B Heron & Co, Inc. until 2025 when he retired. I stayed on part-time with Steven and Jessica continuing to help customers at the Salisbury location.
